This homemade Dollywood cinnamon bread is irresistibly soft, filled with a sweet cinnamon-sugar swirl, and topped with a smooth glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack!

For the bread:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the cinnamon filling:
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the icing:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar. Use a knife to swirl the filling into the batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the bread cools, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the icing.
- Drizzle the icing over the cooled bread, slice, and enjoy the cinnamon goodness!
Notes
- The cinnamon swirl can be adjusted to your taste; feel free to add more or less cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Let the bread cool slightly before drizzling the icing to prevent it from melting off.
