- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for batter)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for batter)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for batter)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for topping)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and melted butter until combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix gently until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly into muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool muffins in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- While warm, dip each muffin in melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm with coffee, milk, or hot chocolate.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the batter to keep muffins soft and fluffy.
- Coat muffins while still warm for best butter and sugar absorption.
- Use shallow bowls to make rolling easier and cleaner.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
