Description

  • For Sandwiches:
    • Sautรฉed onions, green peppers, mushrooms
    • 4 toasted croissants (split)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken breasts in a sealable bag with EVOO, chicken base, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Massage to coat and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  2. Roast Chicken: Preheat oven to 350ยฐF. Place marinated chicken on a greased or lined baking sheet. Roast for 30 minutes or until internal temp reaches 165ยฐF.
  3. Shred Chicken: Let rest slightly, then shred using two forks. Drizzle pan juices over chicken for extra flavor.
  4. Sautรฉ Veggies: In a skillet over medium heat, sautรฉ sliced onions, green peppers, and mushrooms until tender. Set aside.
  5. Make Cheese Sauce: In a separate skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk to form a roux. Slowly add milk, whisking constantly until smooth. Lower heat and add shredded cheese. Stir until melted and smooth. Add chopped dill and mix well.
