Description

This easy Crockpot Mississippi Chicken is packed with flavors from ranch dressing mix, au jus gravy, and pepperoncini peppers. Perfectly tender and shredded, itโ€™s a family favorite that can be served over rice, mashed potatoes, or in sandwiches


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 5โ€“6 pepperoncini peppers (with some juice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crockpot:
    • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Add the Seasonings:
    • Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the chicken.
  • Add Butter and Peppers:
    • Place the stick of butter on top of the chicken and sprinkle the pepperoncini peppers around it.
  • Cook:
    • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.
  • Shred the Chicken:
    • Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
  • Serve:
    • Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or in sandwiches, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
