- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce (for serving)
For Breading:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Assemble the rolls: Lay each cooked lasagna noodle flat. Spread a thin layer of filling evenly over each noodle, then roll it up tightly.
- Bread the rolls:
- Dredge each roll in flour, shaking off excess.
- Dip into the beaten eggs.
- Coat with seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with parmesan cheese, pressing gently to adhere.
- Fry the rolls: Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry each roll for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Slice the rolls in half and serve hot with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For a healthier version, air-fry at 375°F for 10-12 minutes or bake at 400°F for 15-18 minutes.
- Add cooked ground beef or spinach to the filling for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best crispiness.
