Description

This Crispy Chilli Beef Fried Rice is a quick, protein-packed dinner ready in just 10-15 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights, it combines savory beef, flavorful veggies, and a spicy-sweet sauce for an irresistible dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 300g 5% fat beef mince
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 20ml dark soy sauce
  • 15ml sriracha
  • 10g tomato puree
  • 20g honey
  • 250g cooked rice
  • Optional toppings: sliced spring onion, sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Prep the vegetables: Chop the onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
  • Sauté the vegetables: Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the onion and bell pepper for 1-2 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Cook the beef: Add the beef mince to the pan and cook, stirring, until the liquid evaporates and the beef is browned.
  • Make the sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sriracha, tomato puree, honey, and a splash of water. Mix well.
  • Add the sauce: Pour the sauce into the pan with the beef and cook until the mixture thickens.
  • Combine with rice: Stir in the cooked rice and mix well until evenly coated and heated through.
  • Serve: Top with spring onions and sesame seeds for garnish.

Notes

  • Customize your spice: Adjust the sriracha amount based on your heat tolerance.
  • Add more veggies: Throw in peas, carrots, or zucchini for added nutrients.
  • For extra crunch: Garnish with crushed peanuts or crispy fried onions.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet for best results.
