Golden crispy potato balls with a crunchy coating and soft fluffy interior, perfect as a snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 3 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  2. Mix mashed potatoes with cornstarch and spices.
  3. Set up coating station with eggs and breadcrumbs.
  4. Shape mixture into balls.
  5. Dip in egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Fry until golden brown.
  7. Drain and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use cold potatoes for best texture
  • Do not overcrowd pan
  • Maintain oil temperature
