- 2โ3 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 32 oz tomato sauce
- 2 1/4 cups water
- 2 tbsp butter
- Tony Chachereโs Original Creole Seasoning
- Tony Chachereโs Spices Nโ Herbs Creole Seasoning
- Tony Chachereโs Dirty Rice Dinner Mix
Instructions
- Prepare the Cabbage: Cut out the core of the cabbage and submerge it in boiling water for 5 minutes. Once cooled, gently peel off the leaves and set them aside.
- Prepare the Filling: Brown the ground beef in a saucepan and season with Tony Chachereโs Original Creole Seasoning. Add water and Tony Chachereโs Dirty Rice Dinner Mix. Cook according to package instructions and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan and cook the onion and bell pepper for 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce and season with Tony Chachereโs Spices Nโ Herbs Creole Seasoning. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes and set aside.
- Assemble the Rolls: Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF. Lay a cabbage leaf flat and add a scoop of the filling in the center. Fold in the sides and roll tightly, tucking in the ends. Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet, and pour the sauce over the rolls.
- Bake: Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until heated through and tender. Serve and enjoy!
