- 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze.
- Reduce heat to low, then add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sauce thickens.
- Return shrimp to the pan and cook for another 2 minutes, coating them in the sauce.
- Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
