- 4 lobster tails, thawed if frozen
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Lobster Tails:
Preheat the oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC). Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the lobster tails and gently pull apart to expose the meat. Use a knife to carefully remove the lobster meat from the shell, keeping the tail intact for presentation. - Sear the Lobster Meat:
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Season the lobster meat with salt and pepper, then sear the lobster tails for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the lobster from the skillet and set aside. - Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer, then stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is creamy and thickened. - Combine the Lobster with the Sauce:
Return the lobster tails to the skillet, spooning some of the creamy garlic butter sauce over the lobster meat. Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the lobster is fully cooked and opaque. - Garnish and Serve:
Remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle fresh parsley over the lobster tails. Serve immediately with lemon wedges, if desired.
