Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups soy milk (or other non-dairy milk)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped vegan dark chocolate
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Toppings:

 

  • Vegan marshmallows
  • Grated vegan dark chocolate

Instructions

  • Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add Milk:

    • Gradually pour in the soy milk while whisking to prevent lumps.
  • Heat & Thicken:

    • Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, whisking frequently, for about 7 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
  • Incorporate Chocolate & Vanilla:

    • Remove from heat and whisk in chopped dark chocolate until melted and smooth.
    • Stir in vanilla extract for enhanced flavor.

 

  • Serve & Enjoy:
