Crab Rangoon Melt:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (113 g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (67.5 g) crab meat, drained
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- Sweet chili sauce, optional for dipping
- Garlic chili oil, optional for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare Filling: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mozzarella, green onion, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic, sugar, and crab meat. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Spread filling evenly on 4 slices of sourdough bread. Top with remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
- Butter Bread: Spread butter on the outside of each sandwich.
- Grill: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Grill sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve: Serve warm with sweet chili sauce or garlic chili oil for dipping, if desired.

- Ensure crab meat is well-drained to prevent soggy sandwiches.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of paprika or a dash of hot sauce to the filling.
