Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice + zest from 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 3โ€“4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt (see note)
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the butter into pats and place it in a small bowl. Microwave in intervals at half power until melted.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and whisk until fully combined.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Let it cool slightly to thicken or serve warm as a sauce. It can also be used cold straight from the fridge.

Notes

  • Adjust the seasoning based on your preference. If using salted butter, reduce added salt.
  • Great as a dip for bread, a topping for grilled meats, or even mixed into mashed potatoes.
  • Can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
