Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Extracts: Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and almond extract (if using).
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Add Cotton Candy Flavor: Fold in the crushed cotton candy candies or melted candy melts. If you want that signature cotton candy color, divide the dough into two bowls and tint one half pink and the other half blue.
- Form the Cookies: Take small portions of each color and gently roll them together to form a marbled effect. Don’t overmix—you want those pretty cotton candy swirls!
- Bake: Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. These cookies are best enjoyed fresh for that soft, candy-like texture.

- If you can’t find cotton candy-flavored candy melts, you can substitute with regular white chocolate or crushed hard candies that have a cotton candy flavor.
