Description

This easy Corned Beef Hash is a classic, nostalgic comfort food thatโ€™s perfect for brunch, lunch, or a quick dinner. Ingredients

  • 700 g potatoes, peeled and chopped into 3cm cubes

  • 340 g tinned corned beef, cut into 1cm cubes

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (or Hendersonโ€™s Relish)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  • Cook the Potatoes:

    • Boil chopped potatoes until tender, then drain well.

  • Sautรฉ the Onion:

    • Heat sunflower oil in a large pan over medium heat.

    • Add chopped onion and cook for 5 minutes until softened.

  • Add the Corned Beef & Seasonings:

    • Add the boiled potatoes, corned beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.

    • Increase heat to high and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are crispy.

  • Optional Extra Crispiness:

    • For an extra crispy texture, place the pan under a grill (broiler) for a few minutes until golden brown.
