For the Honey Butter Syrup:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Waffle Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cornbread mix, buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.
- Stir in cheddar cheese and bacon if desired.
- Cook the Waffle Bites:
- Preheat a mini waffle maker and lightly grease with cooking spray.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of batter into each section and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Make the Honey Butter Syrup:
