  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (reserve 1/2 cup for topping)

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF. Lightly grease a 9ร—13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  • In a large bowl, mix the thawed hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, chopped onions, 2 cups of shredded cheese, sour cream, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Transfer the potato mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle the remaining ยฝ cup of shredded cheese over the top.
  • Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
