Description

The Cookie Croissant is the viral TikTok dessert thatโ€™s taking the world by storm! Originating from Maison Louvard in Paris, this indulgent treat combines flaky croissants with gooey chocolate chip cookie dough, baked to golden perfection. A must-try for pastry lovers!


Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cups (390g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 1/2 cups (288g) light or dark brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature

  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1 1/4 cups (225g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 15 regular-size croissants

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (180ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy (about 2 minutes). Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Stir in vanilla extract.

  • On low speed, gradually mix in dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.

  • Slice croissants in half and place 2 to 3 tbsp of cookie dough inside each. Close and top with more dough.

  • Arrange croissants on the baking sheet, spacing them apart. Bake for 12 minutes until golden brown.

  • Cool for at least 10 minutes on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!


Notes

  • For a doughier center, use larger chunks of cookie dough inside the croissant.

  • If you prefer a more baked cookie texture, spread the dough thinner inside the croissant.
