Scale
- 180 g unsalted butter, browned
- 200 g granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 160 g cream cheese, room temperature
- 220 g all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 4 tsp instant coffee mixed with 2 tbsp hot water
- 25 g cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream browned butter, sugar, and cream cheese until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and baking powder together. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
- Divide the batter in half. To one portion, add dissolved coffee, cocoa powder, and cinnamon powder. Stir until well blended.
- Alternate spoonfuls of plain and flavored batters into the pan. Swirl gently with a knife or skewer to create a marble effect.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve with coffee or tea for a warm, cozy treat.
Notes
- Use room temperature ingredients for a smooth, fluffy batter.
- Don’t overmix once flour is added to keep the crumb tender.
- Swirl lightly to maintain defined marble patterns.
- Cool completely before slicing for clean, neat layers.
