- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 15-16 full sheets)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
- 3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
- 1 2/3 cups sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat and stir in brown sugar until combined.
- Mix in graham cracker crumbs until evenly coated with the butter-sugar mixture.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan to form the crust.
- Layer chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans evenly over the crust.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top layer, spreading gently with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and center is set.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Serve at room temperature.
Notes
- Press the crust firmly to ensure it holds together after baking.
- For a slightly chewier texture, let bars sit overnight before cutting.
- Substitute nuts as desired, or omit for a nut-free version.
