- For the pizza dough:
- 13.8-ounce package refrigerated pizza crust (Pillsbury brand recommended)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- For the streusel topping:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- For the icing:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF. Prepare a pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray or oil.
- Roll out the dough onto the prepared pizza pan.
- Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the buttered pizza dough, leaving a half-inch border for the crust.
- For the streusel topping, combine the cold butter, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture becomes crumbly.
- Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the pizza dough.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 9-10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Allow the pizza to cool for 5-10 minutes.
- While the pizza is cooling, prepare the icing by whisking together the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the icing over the top of the pizza, cut into slices, and serve warm.
