- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour

For the Frosting:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the mixture and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and eggs.
- Stir until a dough forms, then knead on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 16×24-inch rectangle.
- Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
- Slice the roll into 12 equal pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.
- Cover the dish and let the rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Bake the Rolls:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
- Prepare the Frosting:
- While the rolls are baking, beat together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until the frosting is creamy and fluffy.
- Frost and Serve:
- Once the rolls are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 10 minutes.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting generously over the warm rolls.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
