Description

These crispy, naturally sweet banana chips are coated in a hint of cinnamon-sugar, making them the perfect guilt-free snack. Quick, easy, and irresistibly delicious! Great for kids, meal prep, or a healthy desser

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe but firm bananas (peeled and thinly sliced into rounds, about 1/8-inch thick)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or melted butter
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier option)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Prepare the Bananas:
    • Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds (about ⅛-inch thick) using a sharp knife.
  • Coat with Cinnamon-Sugar:
    • In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
    • Toss the banana slices gently with coconut oil or melted butter, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Air Fry the Chips:
    • Place the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Work in batches if necessary.
    • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chips are golden and crisp. Keep a close eye during the last few minutes to avoid burning.
  • Cool and Serve:
    • Transfer the banana chips to a wire rack to cool completely. They will crisp up further as they cool.
    • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle a touch of sea salt over the banana chips before air frying.
  • Use a mandoline slicer for evenly thin banana slices.
  • If you prefer them sweeter, lightly drizzle with honey or maple syrup after cooling.
