Description

These Cilantro Lime Air Fryer Chicken Skewers are juicy, flavorful, and perfect for a quick dinner or summer-inspired meal. Marinated in a zesty cilantro-lime blend, the chicken cooks up tender and slightly charred in the air fryer, giving you all the taste of the grill with none of the fuss.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add chicken cubes to the marinade, toss to coat, and cover. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for best flavor).
  3. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Lightly grease the basket with cooking spray.
  5. Arrange skewers in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway, until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve warm with lime wedges and extra cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 minutes before threading the chicken to prevent burning.
  • For extra flavor, add bell peppers, onions, or zucchini to the skewers.
  • Great served with rice, salad, or wrapped in pita bread.
