  • 12 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 22 Oreo cookies (regular)
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces finely chopped dark chocolate (bittersweet or semi-sweet)
  • 1 ounce dark chocolate bar finely sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cranberry sauce by simmering cranberries, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, water, vanilla, and salt in a small saucepan until cranberries pop and sauce thickens. Let cool.
  2. Crush Oreo cookies in a food processor and mix with melted butter. Press mixture into a 9-inch pie pan to form crust. Chill.
  3. Whip 3 cups cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract until smooth, then gently fold in whipped cream to create filling.
  5. Spread cream filling evenly over chilled Oreo crust.
  6. Top with cranberry sauce, swirling lightly for decorative effect.
  7. Optional: Heat 1/2 cup heavy cream and pour over 4 ounces chopped dark chocolate to make ganache. Pour ganache over filling if desired.
  8. Garnish with 1 ounce finely sliced dark chocolate bar.
  9. Chill pie for at least 4 hours before serving. Slice with serrated knife and serve chilled.
