- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chocolate chunks (optional)
- 1/2 cup sprinkles (optional, for decorating)
- Frosting of choice (optional, for piping on top)
Instructions
Preheat & Prepare:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease or line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
2. Make the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chocolate chunks (if using).
3. Bake the Cookie Cake:
- Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 22-26 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely in the pan before decorating.
4. Decorate & Serve:
- Pipe frosting around the edges and top with sprinkles, if desired.
- Slice and serve!
Notes
- For a softer center, slightly underbake the cookie cake by a minute or two.
- Swap chocolate chips for M&Ms, white chocolate, or peanut butter chips for variety.
