- 1 pound Chilean sea bass fillets
- 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Zest of 1 medium lemon
- Juice of 1/2 medium lemon
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Lemon slices for topping
- Fresh oregano and parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, oregano, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Place sea bass fillets in the baking dish and brush with the butter mixture on all sides.
- Top each fillet with lemon slices.
- Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork and turns opaque.
- Remove from oven and spoon pan sauce over fillets.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and oregano before serving.
