- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 (24-ounce/680g) jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and dried Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sautรฉ for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Add Cheese:
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses over the top.
- Cover the skillet and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve:
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired.
