Description

This Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich is a hearty and delicious twist on a classic dish! Made with crispy breaded chicken, honey ham, melted Swiss cheese, and fresh kale on toasted farmhouse bread, this easy sandwich is perfect for lunch or dinner. With only six ingredients, it’s a simple yet flavorful meal!


Ingredients

  • 4 slices hearty white bread
  • 4 slices honey ham
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 frozen breaded chicken breasts
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup kale

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake the frozen breaded chicken breasts for 20-22 minutes or as directed on the package.
  • Remove chicken from the oven. Place 1 slice of ham on each chicken breast, then top with 2 slices of Swiss cheese. Add another slice of ham on top.
  • Return to the oven and bake for 1-2 more minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on two slices of toasted bread.
  • Place the breaded chicken with ham and cheese on each slice, then top with kale.
  • Cover with the remaining bread slices. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Swap kale for lettuce or spinach for a milder taste.
  • Use whole wheat or sourdough bread for a different texture.
  • Add Dijon mustard for extra flavor!
