- 2 medium chicken breasts, about 400 grams total
- 200 grams chorizo sausage, sliced
- 1 large fresh baguette
- 4 to 6 slices melting cheese
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Season the chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and let rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, cook the sliced chorizo until slightly crisp and fragrant. Remove from heat.
- Slice the baguette lengthwise and lightly toast in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes.
- Spread mayonnaise and tomato ketchup evenly along the inside of the baguette.
- Layer sliced chicken, crispy chorizo, and cheese over the base. Place under the oven for 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Remove, slice into portions, and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Rest the chicken before slicing to retain juices.
- Lightly toast the baguette to prevent sogginess.
- Use mild or spicy chorizo depending on preference.
- Store leftovers wrapped tightly in the refrigerator for up to two days and reheat in the oven.
