Description

A bold and hearty baguette filled with juicy grilled chicken, smoky chorizo, melted cheese, and creamy tangy sauces for a satisfying sandwich packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium chicken breasts, about 400 grams total
  • 200 grams chorizo sausage, sliced
  • 1 large fresh baguette
  • 4 to 6 slices melting cheese
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Cook the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the sliced chorizo until slightly crisp and fragrant. Remove from heat.
  5. Slice the baguette lengthwise and lightly toast in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes.
  6. Spread mayonnaise and tomato ketchup evenly along the inside of the baguette.
  7. Layer sliced chicken, crispy chorizo, and cheese over the base. Place under the oven for 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
  8. Remove, slice into portions, and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Rest the chicken before slicing to retain juices.
  • Lightly toast the baguette to prevent sogginess.
  • Use mild or spicy chorizo depending on preference.
  • Store leftovers wrapped tightly in the refrigerator for up to two days and reheat in the oven.
