Description
These garlicky chicken and mushroom appetizers are wrapped in a buttery, crunchy puff pastry shell. Quick, easy, and absolutely delicious, they make the perfect appetizer for any occasion!

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup shredded chicken
- 4 oz mushrooms, chopped
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 packages puff pastry shells
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 whisked egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Prepare Filling: Heat olive oil in a medium pan over medium-high heat. Sautรฉ the chopped mushrooms until tender.
- Mix Filling: In a bowl, combine the cooked mushrooms, shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, dill, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Fill Pastry: Place thawed puff pastry shells on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Fill each shell with a heaping tablespoon of the chicken and mushroom mixture.
- Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the pastry shells with the egg wash (whisked egg with water).
- Bake: Bake at 390ยฐF for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crispy.
- Serve: Serve immediately as a delicious appetizer.
Notes
- Make Ahead: You can prepare the chicken and mushroom filling ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the fridge until youโre ready to fill and bake the pastry shells.
- Reheat: To reheat, place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 300ยฐF for about 8 minutes.
