Description

This Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread combines two comfort food favorites into one irresistible dish. Juicy seasoned chicken is layered on buttery garlic bread, then topped with a creamy Alfredo sauce, melty mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. Perfect as a hearty appetizer, side, or even a main course.


Ingredients

  • 2 small chicken breasts
  • 1 Italian-style loaf
  • 2 tablespoons poultry seasoning (or salt, pepper, garlic powder)
  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic (or garlic paste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with poultry seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes per side. Remove and slice thinly.
  3. In a saucepan, melt 1 stick of butter over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Add parmesan cheese and stir until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  4. Cut the Italian loaf in half lengthwise. Melt the remaining 1/2 stick butter and mix with remaining garlic, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Brush mixture evenly over both halves of bread.
  5. Place bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5–7 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Remove bread from oven, top with sliced chicken, then spoon Alfredo sauce over the top. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return to oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with extra parsley and serve warm, sliced into portions.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker version.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle more parmesan over the finished bread before serving.
  • Serve alongside a fresh salad to balance the richness.
  • This recipe works well with French bread if Italian loaf isn’t available.
