Description

This Chicken Alfredo Air Fryer Calzone is a crispy, golden pizza pocket filled with garlicky Alfredo sauce, juicy rotisserie chicken, and gooey mozzarella. Air-fried to perfection, this Olive Garden-inspired treat is quick, easy, and irresistibly cheesy!

For the Calzone:

  • 1 lb premade pizza dough (store-bought or from a pizzeria)
  • 2 cups rotisserie chicken (or 2 cooked, diced chicken breasts)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or Cajun seasoning for a kick)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

For the Butter Topping:

  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • 2 tsp fresh parsley, minced

Instructions

Make the Alfredo Sauce:

  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat.
  2. Add garlic and stir until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and seasonings, then bring to a gentle simmer for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is thick and creamy.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool while preparing the calzones.

Assemble the Calzones:

  1. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into 4 equal circles (about 6 inches each).
  2. Spread 2 tbsp Alfredo sauce over half of each dough circle.
  3. Layer chicken and mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape.
  5. Seal the edges by pressing with a fork or pinching them together.

Air Fry the Calzones:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush the tops with softened butter and place calzones in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
  3. Air fry for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
