- 1 loaf frozen bread dough
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the frozen bread dough to fit your cast iron skillet.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Place the dough in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes to start forming the crust.
- Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and add pepperoni slices.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh basil before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy crust, preheat the skillet in the oven before adding the dough.
- Feel free to customize toppings with vegetables, different cheeses, or meats.
- Use parchment paper to make cleanup easier if desired.
