These Caramel Apple Bites are the ultimate sweet, salty, and crunchy party snack! Each bite features a crispy pretzel base, chewy caramel, tart Granny Smith apple, and a drizzle of rich chocolate with a sprinkle of chopped peanuts. Perfect for holiday gatherings, game day snacks, or fall-inspired treats, these bite-sized caramel apple delights will disappear fast!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 50 pretzel snaps
  • 50 Kraft caramel squares, unwrapped
  • 3 Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped peanuts
  • 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips or dark chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 275ยฐF (135ยฐC) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the pretzel snaps on the tray in a single layer, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  • Place one unwrapped caramel square on top of each pretzel.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the caramel is soft but not completely melted.
  • While baking, core and cut the apples into 1-inch cubes and soak them in lemon juice or salt water to prevent browning.
  • Drain the apples and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Remove the caramel pretzels from the oven and immediately press an apple cube onto each one.
  • Melt the chocolate chips or melting wafers in a microwave-safe piping bag on a low or defrost setting, massaging the bag at intervals for even heating.
  • Snip the tip off the bag and drizzle melted chocolate over the caramel pretzels.
  • Sprinkle with chopped peanuts immediately.
  • Let the chocolate fully set, then serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare up to a few hours in advance, but assemble just before serving for the freshest apple texture.
  • Substitutions: Swap Granny Smith apples for Honeycrisp or Fuji apples for a sweeter bite.
  • Chocolate Options: Try using white chocolate or caramel drizzle for extra variety!
  • Storage: Best enjoyed fresh. If storing, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 6 hours.
