Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • neutral oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Mix flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Remove chicken from marinade and coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil to 175°C in a deep skillet.
  5. Fry chicken in batches for 12 to 15 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  6. Transfer to a wire rack to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve hot.
