This creamy, crunchy, sweet, spicy, and zingy burrata toast with hot honey is the perfect quick, impressive dish. Ready in under 10 minutes, it combines the rich creaminess of burrata with the sweetness of honey, the heat of chili, and the freshness of lemon and thyme.
Ingredients

2 thick slices of bread (sourdough or focaccia are great)

1 ball of burrata

2 tablespoons hot honey sauce (or mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes)

1 lemon, zested

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 garlic clove, peeled
-
2 sprigs of fresh thyme

1 teaspoon flaky salt
Instructions

Toast your bread:
You can toast your bread in a toaster, a pan, or the oven.-
In a pan: Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil into a pan and set it over medium heat. Drizzle the remaining olive oil on the exposed side of the bread, toast for 2 minutes, then flip and toast the other side for another minute.

In the oven: Set your oven to 200ยฐC/393ยฐF (grill/broil setting). Drizzle olive oil on both sides of your bread, then place the slices on a tray under the grill for a couple of minutes. Flip and grill on the other side.

Assemble the toast:
Slice the garlic clove in half and rub the exposed side of the garlic over each piece of bread for a subtle garlic flavor. Tear the burrata and divide it between the toast slices, spreading it evenly. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of hot honey over the burrata on each slice. -
Finish and serve:
Sprinkle the lemon zest, fresh thyme leaves, and flaky salt over the toast. Enjoy right away while the toast is still crunchy and the burrata is wonderfully creamy and oozy.
