A delicious and easy appetizer, this bruschetta with cheese combines crisp toasted baguette slices with juicy tomatoes, fragrant herbs, and melted mozzarella and provolone cheese for a savory bite.

- 1 French baguette
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 pinch ground white pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) package sliced mozzarella cheese
- 1 (6 ounce) package sliced provolone cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Brush each slice with olive oil.
- Top each slice with a few thin slices of tomato.
- Sprinkle basil, oregano, garlic powder, and white pepper evenly over the tomatoes.
- Add a slice of mozzarella and a slice of provolone cheese to each piece of bruschetta.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10โ12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh mozzarella for a creamier texture.
- Swap herbs based on preferenceโthyme or parsley also work well.
- Best served immediately while the cheese is hot and melty.
