- 3 cups bug-shaped pasta
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheese of choice (cheddar and parmesan recommended)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a salted pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and drizzle with a little oil to prevent sticking.
- In a separate pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add flour and whisk until a smooth paste forms. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Slowly add the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, then add the heavy cream and cream cheese. Stir until melted and slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, stirring to coat evenly.
