Description

The Black Mojito is a bold twist on the classic Mojito. It combines the refreshing flavors of mint and lime with the deep richness of blackberries (or activated charcoal for a striking look), giving this cocktail an enticing dark color and a sweet, tangy taste. Perfect for a special occasion or a refreshing evening drink!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (or simple syrup)
  • 1/2 lime, cut into wedges
  • 6 fresh blackberries (or 1/4 tsp activated charcoal for color)
  • 2 oz white rum
  • Club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint sprig and blackberries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves, sugar, lime wedges, and blackberries (if using). If using activated charcoal, add it in this step instead.
  2. Add the white rum and stir or shake to combine the flavors.
  3. Fill the glass with ice cubes and top with club soda.
  4. Stir gently to mix everything together.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a few blackberries for an extra touch of color and freshness.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute the sugar with honey or agave syrup for a healthier option.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to taste.
  • Activated charcoal is optional but adds a striking black color to the drink.
