- 1 (1 pound) loaf French baguette
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup basil pesto
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Slice the French baguette into ยฝ-inch thick rounds and place them on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, basil pesto, minced garlic, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Spread a generous amount of the pesto mixture on each baguette slice.
- Sprinkle a little salt over the top to taste.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10โ12 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
Notes
- For an extra crunch, broil the bread rounds for 1-2 minutes after baking.
- If you prefer a stronger pesto flavor, you can add more basil pesto to the spread.
