- 1 cup all-purpose flour (130g)
- 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon Dutch-processed cocoa powder (57g)
- 1/4 cup black cocoa powder (25g)
- 2 tablespoons malted milk powder (20g, optional)
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 oz chopped baking chocolate or 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup salted butter, softened (227g)
- 4 cups powdered sugar (520g)
- 2 oz Irish Cream liqueur (60mL)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 oz bittersweet chocolate (113g)
- 3 oz heavy cream (90mL)
- 2 oz Irish Cream liqueur (60mL)
- 1 tablespoon salted butter (14g)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in sugar, oil, and vanilla. Whisk in eggs one at a time.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powders, malted milk powder, and salt. Combine with wet ingredients, then fold in chopped chocolate or chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick has moist crumbs. Cool completely.
- Beat softened butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, Irish cream, and vanilla. Spread frosting on cooled brownies and chill 30 minutes.
- For ganache, heat cream, Irish cream, and butter until warm. Add chopped chocolate and stir until smooth. Spread over chilled frosting and chill again until set.
- Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.
