- 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan cheese), grated
- 1 loaf Italian bread, sliced in half lengthwise (use gluten-free bread for a gluten-free option)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the artichoke hearts, green onions, garlic, cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan, reserving some of the cheese for topping.
- Hollow out about ½ inch from the center of both halves of the bread.
- Spread the artichoke mixture into the hollowed-out bread halves.
- Sprinkle with the reserved cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Slice and serve warm!

- Add cooked spinach for a spinach-artichoke variation.
- Mix in crumbled bacon or diced jalapeños for extra flavor.
- Use a baguette for smaller, bite-sized portions.
