Description

This Artichoke Bread is a warm, cheesy, and irresistible twist on classic artichoke dip! Baked inside a crusty loaf, this ooey, gooey appetizer is perfect for parties, game nights, or any time you need a comforting snack. Serve it as a shareable dish with extra bread or veggies!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan cheese), grated
  • 1 loaf Italian bread, sliced in half lengthwise (use gluten-free bread for a gluten-free option)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together the artichoke hearts, green onions, garlic, cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan, reserving some of the cheese for topping.
  • Hollow out about ½ inch from the center of both halves of the bread.
  • Spread the artichoke mixture into the hollowed-out bread halves.
  • Sprinkle with the reserved cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  • Slice and serve warm!

Notes

  • Add cooked spinach for a spinach-artichoke variation.
  • Mix in crumbled bacon or diced jalapeños for extra flavor.
  • Use a baguette for smaller, bite-sized portions.
  • Store leftovers wrapped in foil and reheat in the oven at 300°F (150°C) until warmed through.
