Description

A classic apple pie with a flaky buttery crust and warm spiced apple filling, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup cold butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix apples with sugar, spices, and lemon juice.
  3. Prepare dough and roll into crust.
  4. Place crust in pie dish and add filling.
  5. Top with second crust or lattice.
  6. Brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden.
  8. Cool before serving.
