Description

Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese Roll Ups are a sweet and indulgent treat with creamy apple filling wrapped in cinnamon swirl bread, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert with optional caramel dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 loaf cinnamon swirl bread
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces apple pie filling, chopped fine (or cinnamon applesauce)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
  • Cinnamon Buttermilk Caramel Sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Flatten slices of cinnamon swirl bread with a rolling pin.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and chopped apple pie filling until combined.
  4. Spread the cream cheese and apple mixture evenly over each slice of bread.
  5. Roll up each slice tightly and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  7. Brush melted butter over each roll up and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden brown and slightly crispy.
  9. Serve warm with powdered sugar sprinkled on top and optional cinnamon buttermilk caramel sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Use slightly stale bread for easier rolling.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon-sugar topping.
  • Can be served with vanilla ice cream for a dessert variation.
