- 2 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 pound linguine pasta, uncooked
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the diced ground beef over medium heat until browned. Remove the excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- Stir in the crushed red pepper flakes and stewed tomatoes. Simmer the sauce on low heat for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Meanwhile, cook the linguine pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the Amatriciana sauce until well-coated.
- Serve the pasta in bowls, garnished with fresh basil and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
