These Air Fryer Pickle Chips are a crispy, tangy snack that’s easy to make in your air fryer. With a crunchy coating and a zesty pickle flavor, they make the perfect appetizer or side dish for your healthy meals. Whether you’re craving a crunchy treat or want something new for your healthy recipes lunch, these pickle chips will hit the spot

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup pickle chips (drained and patted dry)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Prepare the pickle chips: Start by draining and patting the pickle chips dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This will help the coating stick better.
  • Prepare the dredging station: In one shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. In a second bowl, beat the egg. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  • Coat the pickle chips: Dip each pickle chip first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat it in the breadcrumbs.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Air fry the pickle chips: Arrange the coated pickle chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray them with cooking spray. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve: Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or spicy mayo.

Notes

  • Make sure to pat the pickles dry thoroughly to ensure the breading sticks well.
  • You can use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs for a gluten-free version.
  • For extra crunch, try using a double coating on the pickle chips.
