Description

This air fryer buffalo cauliflower is crispy, flavorful, and perfect for game day or as a delicious vegan snack. Made with simple ingredients and coated in spicy buffalo sauce, these cauliflower bites are a healthier alternative to traditional wings. Pair them with your favorite creamy dip for the ultimate appetizer

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 large head cauliflower, chopped into small-to-medium florets (about 4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free 1:1 flour)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (plus more to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buffalo-style wing sauce

Instructions

  • Wash and chop cauliflower into 1-inch florets. Pat dry.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add cauliflower and toss to coat.
  • Preheat the air fryer if required. Arrange cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 400ยฐF for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp. Cook in batches if needed.
  • Remove from the air fryer and transfer to a mixing bowl. Pour buffalo sauce over cauliflower and toss to coat.
  • Return to the air fryer and cook for another 5-7 minutes until crispy, checking at the 5-minute mark.
  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and a side of celery and carrot sticks.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, spray the cauliflower with a little oil before air frying.
  • Use a different sauce, such as BBQ or teriyaki, for a flavor variation.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to crisp them up.
