  • Filling: 1/4-1/2 cup dark brown sugar (1/4 cup recommended), 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons salted butter (melted), 1 jar strawberry jam (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • Frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. For the dough, mix flour and brown sugar in a bowl. Cut in butter and vanilla until crumbly dough forms. Press half of the dough into the prepared pan.
  3. For the filling, combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, melted butter, and strawberry jam. Spread evenly over the dough layer.
  4. Crumble the remaining dough over the filling layer.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  6. For the frosting, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bars.
  7. Cut into squares and serve.
