- 2 small white onions, sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
- 7 oz shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Paprika, to taste
- Lazy Tzatziki, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, toss the onion slices with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- On the parchment-lined tray, make small piles of shredded parmesan to form nests for the onions.
- Place each onion ring on a cheese nest and top with more parmesan, fully covering the ring.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly on the tray so they crisp up.
- Serve warm with Lazy Tzatziki or your favorite dip.
Notes
- Use parchment paper, not foil, to prevent sticking.
- Finely shredded parmesan melts and crisps best.
